| PRESENTATION | Lesotho was one of the first African countries to implement ICT sector reform that included establishing a regulator, privatizing the incumbent and introducing competition. As a result, the country has reached the highest levels of mobile-broadband coverage in Africa. Lesotho has access to submarine cables through several cross-border connections with South Africa, and in particular is a participant in EASSy which lands on the East Coast of South Africa. Additional cross-border connections are required and will be subject to a pre-feasibility study. |
